Ringio is a business phone service that intelligently routes calls to any phone along with background information about the caller. We aim to improve the quality of phone interactions for small businesses. We integrate with CRM systems to present relevant customer data in real time and track information about conversations. Think Google Voice, but for small businesses.
All positions at Ringio are full-time in-person positions. We do not sponsor work visas, so we only hire people that are already authorized to work in the United States.
Software Engineer
You will work on a small team of developers to build new features, fix bugs, and improve our processes. Being a small startup team, everyone wears a lot of hats. Our software developers spend most of their time writing code, but they also work on systems engineering, design UI elements, and diagnose operations problems. We have a solid technology stack (Java, Groovy, Grails, MySQL, HAProxy, Amazon AWS/EC2, CCXML) and are also experimenting with adding newer technologies like Backbone.js, JQuery Mobile, Node.js, Socket.io, and MongoDB.

Software Architect
You will provide hands on technical leadership to the Ringio software engineering team. Our software developers spend most of their time writing code, but they also work on systems engineering, design UI elements, and diagnose operations problems. We have a solid technology stack (Java, Groovy, Grails, MySQL, HAProxy, Amazon AWS/EC2, CCXML, XMPP) and are also experimenting with adding newer technologies like Backbone.js, JQuery Mobile, Node.js, Socket.io, and MongoDB.
What You Need:
- A passion for Software Development and especially for building software in a sustainable manner.
- Expertise in a language/framework of your choice (Ruby, Groovy, Java, JavaScript etc.)
- Ability to lead all the way from Technology/Platform selection to actual implementation.
- A passion for mentoring/coaching software engineers.
- To have been the primary engineer/architect for a complex piece of software that ran/runs in a High Availability production environment.
