Unlike other options in the market, all our subscription plans include unlimited inbound and outbound calling within the Continental USA and Canada. Toll free numbers hosted by Ring.io are billed at an additional per-minute fee for inbound calls.

A user is any one human that will be placing and receiving phone calls through Ring.io. Ring.io gathers many statistics and metrics about calling activity and associates them with users. When recording calls, Ring.io associates the call to the user that took the call. Users can have up to 3 devices where they make/receive calls at. Eg. Web Phone, external number and the Ring.io mobile app. Each user receives 1 concurrent phone call at a time. We sometimes serve customers who have “stations” in a call center through which multiple humans rotate. If that is your scenario, you can choose between 1 user per human or 1 user per station, but in the latter case you will not be able to track any meaningful metrics.

Ring.io offers an administrator only (no calling or SMS) account for $29.00/month.

In most cases, a full rollout of Ring.io with your team takes about 3-4 hrs. During that time we help you set the account, train your users and if you’re porting phone numbers get that process rolling.

For most of our customers we tend to replace their existing phone system or dialer for customer-facing team members. If your team is part of a larger enterprise and you’re happy with your current system but would like to add features that Ring.io has to offer, we can configure Ring.io to work with your existing system.

To use the Ring.io Web Phone, you need a Windows or macOS computer running Google Chrome, and a non-cellular broadband internet connection. The internet telephony industry is plagued by bad voice quality issues. In our experience, the lion’s share of these issues stem from “the last mile”, i.e. the connection between your (home) office location and the internet. While we do everything we can to offer business-class audio and video quality, Ring.io is like any other cloud-communication tool, it works best when packets can flow freely and without delay between your computer and our servers on the internet. We know, the treehouse in your backyard has killer views and no-one bothers you there, but if your Wi-Fi router is half a mile away, just remember: Ring.io is magic but we leave miracles for higher spiritual authorities.

Ring.io is offered to companies based in the USA and Canada. If your North American company has employees based in other countries, we can work with you to deploy Ring.io to them provided they have a strong internet connection. We currently don’t offer our services to customers based outside of the USA and Canada.

If the Ring.io service experiences a complete outage, our platform would redirect your incoming phone calls to a pre-configured Backup Number so your team doesn’t miss any important phone calls.

Ring.io offers sophisticated Caller ID capabilities. The aim here is to help you get as many conversations as possible, while helping you maintain an excellent reputation with telecom companies. You can set your outbound Caller ID to any of the numbers in your Ring.io account. If you have numbers hosted by another company that ring back to you, you can also use those existing numbers to call out of Ring.io. If you’d like to maintain a local presence in each area code market in North America, we offer RingLocal, a feature designed to help your team get more connects. Yes, Ring.io can port an existing number into Ring.io for a $35.00 porting fee. Read more about porting here.

Porting a number takes around 14-21 business days.

Yes, you own any numbers that you get from Ring.io as long as your billing with Ring.io is current.

Yes, Ring.io offers Business SMS. It can be used directly from your CRM (click to SMS) and directly from the Ring.io Web Phone and the Ring.io Mobile app.

Ring.io Business SMS is an add-on that costs $20/month per user.

Messages to and from your Ring.io personal number can be viewed in the Ring.io admin portal and the Ring.io Web Phone and Mobile App, as well as in your CRM.

Ring.io does not forward text messages.

Ring.io does not support MMS.

At this time, Ring.io does not support bulk or mass text messaging.
